Shea Perrier is my modern jazz project, exploring the intersection of contemporary jazz, electronic music, and innovative composition. Drawing inspiration from artists like Robert Glasper, Tigran Hamasyan, and GoGo Penguin, this project blends acoustic and electronic elements to create immersive sonic landscapes.
As composer, producer, and pianist for Shea Perrier, I craft pieces that balance complex harmonic structures with accessible melodies, incorporating influences from classical minimalism, hip-hop, and ambient music. Each composition tells a story, creating emotional journeys through sound.

"Urban Textures" is a collaborative EP created with DC-based producers and sound artists. This project fuses jazz piano improvisation with hip-hop beats and field recordings captured throughout Washington, DC to create a sonic portrait of urban life.
Each track represents a different neighborhood or time of day in the city, with sounds ranging from morning metro commutes to late-night conversations and rainfall on city streets. These environmental recordings are woven into compositions that bridge jazz, hip-hop, and ambient genres.
